ABOUT
Hi there, how's your body today? My name is Emily Hisey-Bowden and this is the question that starts every movement session I teach.

I use strength-based and restorative Pilates, as well as BoneFit training techniques to help people move more seamlessly through their daily lives. Having grown up playing sports and having worked in sedentary desk jobs, I've witnessed first-hand the power that movement (or lack thereof) can have on our well-being. My search for effective postural support and physical longevity introduced me to Pilates and I love sharing these magical exercise principles to get people moving more efficiently and effectively.

Sessions with me are all about finding the fun combined with the challenge, so that you leave your session feeling strong and tall, and with a big smile on your face!

TESTIMONIALS
Glenda
“Your positive, sunny and very detailed approach to the work has been wonderful. I feel as though I'm more aware of my core and alignment after working with you these past few months. Your careful instructions and reminders as we go through each exercise demystify the way my body works. I love the concentrated zone I go into in your class."
Jean
"Love your style of teaching and the energy you bring to your classes. I always leave with an improved body and lifted spirits."
Christine
“Emily revolutionized what I considered to be a 'workout'. As someone who lives with chronic pain, I was getting frustrated with my inability to participate in high energy, fast paced workouts. Emily gave me the space and permission to slow down. To focus on the smaller movements that still packed a punch without flaring up any pain.”
